The music industry suffered a massive loss last year with the sad demise of award-winning singer KK aka Krishnakumar Kunnath. Known for singing some of the biggest chartbusters, the singer passed away in a sudden incident in Kolkata. On the occasion of his birth anniversary on August 23, his daughter Taamara took to social media to share a heartfelt note as she walked down memory lane and opened up about her memories with her late father.
KK’s daughter dedicates a heartfelt post on his birth anniversary
Taamara Krishna took to Instagram to dedicate a post to her late father KK wherein she posted a throwback photo of her sitting in his lap and playing the piano, and captioned it saying, “Happy birthday dad, love you more than I’ll ever be able to explain <3 Miss you so much, thanks for coming back to life at least in my dreams. I hope we can eat cake together again sometime.” Her post received a lot of love from KK fans where many of them reminisced about their fond memories associated with the singer and his songs. Among them, was also singer-musician Rekha Bharadwaj, who dropped several heart emojis.
Speaking of KK’s works, while he started his career by singing advertising jingles, he gained immense fame for his song, ‘Pal’ which was the title track of his debut album. He went on to win hearts with iconic songs like ‘Tadap Tadap Ke’ (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam), ‘Khuda Jaane’ (Bachna Ee Haseeno), Bas Ek Pal title track, among several others. KK is not only a popular Bollywood singer, but he has also sung over 200 songs in many other languages including Malayalam, Assamese, among others.
For the unversed, KK passed away on May 31, 2022. The singer had performed at a music concert in Kolkata and passed away on the way back to the hotel, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
