Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 has crossed the Rs 60 crore mark at the box office in just six days. The film, which sees Khurrana playing a man who impersonates a woman, has been a huge hit with audiences and is now his biggest opener ever.

Khurrana is basking in the success of the film and told News18 that he is “very happy” with the response. “It’s a beautiful feeling,” he said. “Box office success is also required. It’s very special. Nothing is sweeter than success, especially box office success.”
The actor also said that he was “glad” that the film is part of the wave of people returning to theaters after the pandemic. “We’ve been waiting for that in the past couple of years,” he said. Khurrana went on to say that he “needed” the box office success of Dream Girl 2. “I had to shift the gear and go mass with this film,” he said. “We really needed the numbers.”
The actor also said that he believes the success of Dream Girl 2 will improve his commercial standing as a star. “I think it’s a mark of your stardom when your film opens well and clocks a good weekend and becomes a hit,” he said. “It empowers you as an actor and star to make choices and gives producers who’re investing in you a sense of confidence.”
